2022 Summer Mathematics Institute

Week long camps offering challenge and community to motivated mathematics learners hosted at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The content provided at the Institute will extend beyond the standard school curriculum and help to prepare students for challenging problem solving experiences in secondary mathematics competitions.

Content is meant to be challenging for advanced students.

Grade 7-9

Who: Students should be entering grades 7-9 in the Fall of 2022.

What: Did you know there are different sizes of Infinity? Come learn all about how infinity and infinite things function in mathematics. We’ll do some art projects, explore the different types of infinity, and will wrap our brains around the concept of infinity. Students must have completed Algebra 1 or equivalent.

When: Daytime Only

Cost: $300

Grade 10-12

Who: Students should be entering grades 10-12 in the Fall of 2022.

What: Come learn how to complete power round contests! You’ll work in Olympiad fashion, and will need to provide full solutions, instead of just your answers. We will focus on collaboration and communicating mathematical ideas to peers and judges. Students must have completed Algebra 2 or equivalent.

When: Overnight Residential Only
